This article is based on a concept I understand and have about
life and existence. When situations get stagnant and do not work:
Change, reformation and new thinking is forced upon you as a necessary
function or death happens to you in some form if this change,
reformation and new thinking is not accepted. Sure it all sounds like an
extreme situation, but, is it not an extreme situation when change is
needed? The greatest need for change comes when it is wanted very deeply
like when Christianity started crumbling the decadent and apathetic
later Roman Empire with the ideals of Jesus of Nazareth and John The
Baptist as an example, and the Caesars and emperors were becoming like a
line of Caligula aspirants. I use this as a driving example of what I
am writing about for when change is needed and wanted, whatever is
happening, change comes and nothing can stop it.
The real new ideas and new blood come from the sort of death of old ideas I am writing about anyway, like the light bulb came out of the death of the standard candle or oil lamp or the horse was obsoleted by the motorized car.
"When things become too "normal", you know that it is time for change." to put it another way. When it comes down to it, why do you think businessman Donald Trump happened to the Presidency of the United States instead of a standard politician? Is it because things were getting too normal, and empire like? In the end, when things are shaken up, it is for the better even if it is initially not liked by everyone, especially establishments and "authorities in power". So, I repeat, "when things become too "normal", you know that it is time for change." When I say the word change, I do not mean chaos, though, I mean the word evolution.
The word "evolution" meaning a new path, not anything chaotic or destructive, but just a new path of growth to keep things interesting and even thriving. For the real loss is overt lethargy and genuine boredom, that leads to sabotaging yourself at very deep levels anyhow. After all, what happens when you get bored enough driving a car and go to sleep behind a steering wheel anyhow, or this one: everything is going smoothly until an emergency happens that makes you alert. Indeed, things must stay interesting to genuinely work.
So, in nature, nothing operates in straight lines, and to keep them straight and working, everything must be kept on the path in an alert way. I first learned this concept from the Gurdjieff Esoteric system of thought, later expanded upon in Logical Statistical Game Theory realities in Statistical Sciences. George Gurdjieff calls keeping things on a straight path instead of natural curves "shocks at right moments when things are veering off". I call it "time for needed evolution" more along the lines fo Logical Statistical Game Theory Realities. Without that "shock" of change, reformation and new thinking, everything goes on a downward spiral or in the opposite direction of the original way it was intended to go. With that "shock", that is the best reminder in existence of where it is desired to go. So, with that said: Normality can be the worst thing in existence, and something new and interesting can be the best thing there is to keep things really going in the right direction. I leave you that to understand and think about soberly for the real chaos is overt normality, and that thrilling "shock" could be the best thing that happens to you if handled correctly.
