We will, therefore, attempt, to discuss, how you might become the BEST leader, you can possibly be.

1. Benefits; beliefs; bring it; belonging: Are you personal beliefs, in sync with the needs, priorities, and heritage of the group? What benefits will your ideas and approaches, bring forth, to both the organization, as well as the constituents, you serve? Will you go beyond the ordinary, delve deeply, instill a sense of pride and sense of belonging, and seek to improve the experiences of those you serve? Will you commit to never settle for good - enough, ordinary, or okay, and consistently pursue, a course of action, where you bring it, every single day?

2. Excellence; empathy; examine; earn support: Is your creed, one of pursuing excellence, in everything you do, and/ or pursue? Will you spend the time and energy, listening effectively to your constituents, so you can discover the perceptions, needs, and concerns, and will you proceed with true empathy? How carefully will you review, supposed facts, ideas, plans, approaches and alternatives? Do you realize that support and respect must be earned, rather than granted?

3. Strength; support; sustainable system; specifics: Except for in the very - preliminary stages, make every effort to avoid generalities, and seek specifics, considering ramifications, contingencies, and impacts! Know both your, and your organization's strengths and weaknesses, utilizing the strengths effectively, while addressing the weaknesses, thoroughly and carefully! A true leader must support his group, stakeholders, and vision! One only becomes a great leader, when he creates, develops and implements, the best possible, sustainable system!

4. Techniques; tendencies; trends; timely: One of the principal reasons for stressing professional, leadership training, is so a potential leader, learns and develops those techniques and skills, which will help him become better! One must develop a mindset, which is capable of identifying and evaluating tendencies, knows the trends which might make a positive difference, and exhibits the judgment, wisdom and self - confidence, in order to consistently proceed forward, in a well - considered, timely manner.

Many enter leadership, but few become quality, meaningful, real leaders. Use the mnemonic lessons, above, and enhance your possibilities of becoming the BEST leader, you can be!

Top 8 Self Sabotage Mistakes We Make - Attitude and Mindset for Prosperity, Goals and Success

You want to succeed. You want progress. You want great meaning in your life.

Sure, I don't know you. But science (neuro-science and psychological science) tell us that every human being needs these things (and a few others).

This article outlines for you 8 of the top reasons almost everyone who ever lives does not live as purposeful and successful a life as they could have.

In these 8 things, you will find necessary mindset (attitude) adjustments we must make, optimize and habitually manage to achieve habitual self-motivation, peak performance and ultimate success.

IT BEGINS AND ENDS WITH OUR MINDSET

Mindset matters. A lot.

With a positive, driven mindset, we will achieve incredible things.

With a pessimistic or otherwise mindset, we will defeat ourselves.

We all self-sabotage sometimes and to some degree.

Most people make a habit of this.

But we can control this. Here are the top 8 ways we most often sabotage ourselves and, most importantly, mindset and success strategies for limiting or destroying self-sabotage.

1. Poor Self Confidence. You don't believe in yourself.

This is a self-fulfilling prophesy. After all, why even try if you know you'll fail.

Mindset and Success Strategy to Defeat This Self-sabotage

Ask yourself what beliefs you have that you are or will be a failure. Brainstorm until your gut tells you that you have identified the culprit(s).

Come up with three historical incidents that prove all limiting beliefs false.

For example: You want to start a business, but fear you will fail because you've never done it or you've tried before and it didn't work out.

Ask yourself: When have I tried something new and succeeded? Don't be literal. Be honest, but creative and generous. Find times when you have succeeded at something new, then make the valid argument that you can and will succeed in your business.

2. You don't believe in your dream.

This can fall into at least two different categories:

Refer to #1 above: you don't really believe in yourself and or your ability to make it happen.

You have chosen someone else's dream or a sloppy, poorly thought out dream.

Mindset and Success Strategy to Defeat This Self-sabotage

Refer to the advice under #1 above if you don't believe in yourself.

Is your dream one you sloppily picked up from your family or culture? For example: you want to be a doctor because the culture says being a doc is a good thing. Or, are you choosing your family's or friends' dream for you?

Ask yourself why you want this. Will it bring you intrinsic fulfillment? (As opposed to extrinsic pleasure). Is there anything else that brings you more intrinsic fulfillment?

In all cases, ask yourself "what will it realistically take to prevail?

Am I willing to do what it takes?" (Now isn't necessarily the time for optimism. Analyze under worst case and most likely case. That is, unless this truly is your one passion and you are willing to sacrifice anything to make it happen. Then I would advise throwing out any and all doubt.)

3. You tend to seek negatives in life, circumstances or others.

Studies show optimists are happier, healthier and more successful. If you seek or tend to find negatives in situations and people, you are most likely negatively affecting many areas of your life, including risk-taking, creativity and relationship building.

Mindset and Success Strategy to Defeat This Self-sabotage

Remain self-aware. Make it a rule to catch yourself whenever you think or feel negativity, including judgment, resentment, anger, fear, etc.

Don't be hard on yourself. You are human. Your brain naturally seeks threats. Be compassionate, understanding, patient and loving with yourself.

When you catch yourself going negative, make it a rule that you ask yourself "what is positive about this situation or person."

4. You seek and take the path of least resistance.

Along with seeking threats, this is a natural tendency of our brains. This increased the probability of survival during the hundreds of millennia the human brain developed.

Mindset and Success Strategy to Defeat This Self-sabotage

Again, self-awareness. Identify when you are taking the path of least resistance.

Learn to savor the exhilaration of challenge and success. The famous saying is so true: "the magic happens when we move out of our comfort zone."

As long as you and others are physically and psychologically safe and as long as you are living to your highest values, make moving out of your comfort zone emotionally and psychologically pleasurable and rewarding. Each time you do move out of your comfort zone, create heightened pleasure, joy and pride within. Feel it. Celebrate it. Congratulate yourself on your slaying fear and timidity.

5. You can no longer see the trees for the forest or the forest for the trees.

Most of us take a job because it will pay better than most or all other opportunities. Or because there are no other opportunities. Even if we take it because we think it's a stepping stone to our dream, there is a tendency to lose the forest (life vision) for the trees (current responsibilities), as well as the trees (what action we can take today to move towards our ultimate life vision) for the forest (again, overwhelmed with the plethora of current responsibilities).

Mindset and Success Strategy to Defeat This Self-sabotage

Visit or revisit your highest values, virtues life vision or life purpose. Your purpose is likely to be that thing that brings you the greatest intrinsic fulfillment (meaning) that also serves other people.

Then ask yourself how you can live in and pursue your highest virtues, values and vision from within your current work. Follow this path with your greatest intention, attention and action.

If your current work precludes actualize your highest self, then find out what will and what you have to do to successfully move in that direction.

6. You give in to the drug of avoidance.

You spend more than an hour a day, on average, playing video games, watching TV or internet surfing. Like most people, you probably spend three to four hours a day doing these things. That is because the immediate chemical/emotional high (video games) or numbing (TV or surfing) is easier and more pleasurable to you than is investing your time and energy in personal and professional development.

Mindset and Success Strategy to Defeat This Self-sabotage
The best solution to this self-sabotaging inclination is to attack from the positive motivation and negative motivation perspectives:

i) After meditating, visualize clearly -- that is, vividly see, hear and feel yourself living your greatest life purpose, goals and passions successfully, fully, massively. Let this pull you forward, providing inspiration, motivation and energy, while it also provides a clear, specific point you habitually move towards.

ii) Also create a deep, intrinsic level of frustration and emotional pain and associate these negatives intimately to those activities you typically use to waste time -- such as video games and internet surfing.

By approaching this from intrinsic fulfillment and intrinsic pain, you boost the positive and negative motivation factors.

A word of advice. Most people are most motivated by moving away from pain. More so than by moving towards pleasure and fulfillment. So, use the power of negative motivation factors.

This said, it is important to spend more time, focus and energy on positive, purpose and passion motivation. And always end visualizations on your positive motivators. I won't go into the reasons here, but just know that it's wise to spend more time on where you are going, as it is also important to end visualizations on positive motivators.

7. Fear baby.

Our brains naturally seek threats. Fear comes from what appears to be a threat. Understand your brain naturally seeks threats (as noted above).

Mindset and Success Strategy to Defeat This Self-sabotage

Recognize you are almost certainly naturally risk-averse as a vestige of the evolution of your brain. This may be working against you.

Analyze situations for true threat. Ask yourself "what is the worst that could happen here? What is most likely?" If you can live with "most likely," and if the worst case is unlikely and if the potential upside is meaningful, take a risk. Great things always require great risk.

Do you want a great life? Or a safe life? Either is OK, but know who you are and make decisions appropriate to your soul, not your fearful mind.

8. Indecision.

Indecision most often arises out of one of two things: fear (addressed above) or not knowing or living your highest values.

Mindset and Success Strategy to Defeat This Self-sabotage

As mentioned above, brainstorm your highest virtues, values and life purpose. People who know, trust and are set in these three things are highly decisive and rarely, if ever, indecisive.

When we know who we are, what we are about, what is most important to us, it's easy to act. We intuitively know what decision is in alignment with our highest selves and vision. And if we are synchronized with these things, we will always act based on values, virtues and vision and not on fear, laziness or indecision.

A few closing words. When we know ourselves. When we have clearly defined virtues, values and vision. And when we craft and feel genuine self-love - not to be confused with arrogance, superiority or bravado - and a passion to make a difference in the world, we likely will not experience, and certainly won't succumb, to these most common obstacles.

Peace, prosperity and positive personal power my friends.

Improve Your Health Astrologically by Being More Social

It may sound weird but astrology gives us ample hope, directions and practical means to maintain a good health and lead an ailment free life. All the twelve houses are interconnected among themselves and suggest us how one house could be strengthened with the aid of another. Let us understand how it can happen.

Almost everyone has heard the phrase choose your friends wisely at some point in our lives from our parents or other relatives.Good and loyal friends are hard to come by. Astrologically this phrase holds true not just for the feel-good factor, but many other aspects, including our health.

Yes, astrology proves beyond doubt that our social lives could impact our health as it has great potential to help you develop new healthy habits.Leveraging relationships with friends and family may be a more effective way to improve patients' health and encourage new healthy habits and behaviours than increasing interactions with physicians or other clinicians, the researchers noted.

We know that socializing is fun, but what many people don't realize is that spending time around other people can also play a role in your health as it strengthens the sixth and eleventh houses of your horoscope.

Having a solid social network has been shown to have an impact both physically and mentally, and it is often lauded as the key to a long and healthy life as this improves and strengthen the moon.

Next time you feel guilty about meeting your friend for dinner instead of hitting the gym, you might want to think again. Here are four astro-socio reasons why spending time socializing is good for your health.

You'll Fight Off Depression

Sometimes when you're feeling down, the last thing you want to do is to go out and socialize, but Brihat Hora Shastra shows that connecting with others helps improve your mood and fight off depression as this a simple remedy to ward off any ill effect on your moon.

You're More Productive

Here's a reason to go to lunch with your co-workers or to meet a friend for coffee during your break so they work make you happy and productive when they went on breaks at the same time. You may be simultaneously boosting your 10th and 11th house.

You'll Live Longer

If you're looking to live a long and healthy life, start surrounding yourself with good friends. Friends can not only help you deal with stress and act as a buffer to its effects, but they can also encourage you to take better care of yourself.

"Spouses and friends are more likely to be around patients when they are making decisions that affect their health, like taking a walk versus watching TV or what to order at a restaurant."

People are also more likely to adopt healthy behaviours -like going to the gym -when they can go with a friends. This will influence the good inherent qualities of the 8th house.

Find purpose and meaning in life

Probably we have shut down our ascendant or lagna everyone derives meaning and purpose in different ways that involve doing things that benefit others, as well as yourself. You may think of it as a way to feel needed, feel good about yourself, a purpose that drives you on, or simply a reason to get out of bed in the morning. In biological terms, finding meaning and purpose is essential to brain health as it can help generate new cells and create new neural pathways in the brain. It can also strengthen your immune system, alleviate pain, relieve stress, and keep you motivated to pursue the other steps to better mental and emotional health. However you derive meaning and purpose in life, it's important to do those things every day.

Vedic astrology believes and proves that social engagements could promote good health. "Though people are more heavily influenced by those around them every day than they are by doctors and nurses they interact with only occasionally, and these cost-free interactions remain largely untapped when engineering social incentives for health. That's a missed opportunity. Sure, health care is serious business, but who says it can't be social," so that your 6th house thrive.

Are I-Deals the New American Ideal?

When my daughter was a nineteen-year old sophomore at the University of Chicago she brought her boyfriend home to meet me. Aytek was a brilliant Turkish economics major with soulful eyes and Marxist leanings. I was a former high school history teacher. Of course we got to talking about politics. Aytek was appalled by American imperialism and our invasion of Iraq. I too had opposed the war. I lamented the invasion as contrary to the Enlightenment ideals on which our country was founded. Aytek couldn't contain his derision. "You actually believe the American Revolution was fought to defend beliefs?" he challenged. "It was a movement by an upper class elite whose purses were being drained by the British. Those enlightenment ideals were just rationalization for their greed."

Aytek's response was like a slap in the face, the kind that should have been a wake-up call but wasn't. I simply clammed up, unable to refute him but unwilling to accept that the United States was as devoid of principle as every other nation on earth. I felt like a naive child, one who isn't ready to give up her belief in Santa Claus or the tooth fairy. I didn't want to consider the possibility that the United States of America was devoid of a moral compass. With Martin Luther King, I wanted to believe that "The arc of the moral universe is long, but it always bends toward justice."

For more than a quarter-century I'd taught that our history revolves around our relationship to six powerful (and sometimes conflicting) ideals: freedom, individualism, equality, democracy, pragmatism and optimism. Yes, we've disagreed mightily over how to balance them and we've fallen woefully short in achieving them. We've had to confront slavery and Jim Crow, the Know-Nothings and McCarthy, imperialist wars and blind isolationism But whenever we've veered too far off course, the vision of our beliefs has always drawn us back.

Maybe that's why this election has taken such a deep and painful toll on my soul and psyche. It brings back Aytek's slap in the face. American ideals? Even writing the words, I sigh. Misogyny, racism, and xenophobia? Neo-Nazis in the White House? Cabinet Secretaries committed to dismantling our environmental protections and public schools? A press secretary who spouts alternative facts? This is our reality and the group proclaiming themselves to be a "moral majority" now defends all this as the new normal. I can no longer pretend that our nation is governed by anything more than expediency and a desire for profit and power.

Herbert Hoover notoriously claimed that "The business of American is business." Donald Trump goes one step further. In his inauguration speech, our new president made it painfully clear that the governing principle for our nation is now "America First." Never mind that this slogan has its origins in American Nazis who opposed our going to war against Hitler. Never mind that it ignores the realities of a globalized world. Never mind that it extols the essential value behind every conquering nation. The slogan "American First" proclaims a disturbing identity. We are no longer dedicated to a New Deal or a Fair Deal but to an I-Deal.

"So what's the problem?" I hear my conservative friends ask. "What's wrong with defending our own interests?" One answer is, of course, "Nothing." Maybe Adam Smith was right when he claimed that when we all act on our own self-interest, the common good is elevated by an Invisible Hand. Maybe the rise of unbridled capitalism and nationalism will create a new order of world peace and prosperity.

I know there are people who think that could happen, but I'm not one of them. One reason why lies in my somewhat unorthodox but deeply Christian faith comes in. I simply don't believe that Jesus Christ came here to make I-Deals. Nor did Mahatma Gandhi or Martin Luther King, Harriet Tubman or Oscar Romero. The people I most admire have recognized that the arc of justice demands allegiance to something higher than the "I."

It has taken me a lifetime to accept that it may be naive to expect my president or my nation to uphold an allegiance to anything greater than themselves. And a part of me still wants to hold fast to the belief in a United States of America guided by Enlightenment ideals. But at the Woman's March on Saturday, I recognized that even if those ideals no longer shape our national government, they are powerfully branded into the souls of its people. And it is up to us to carry them forward.

The Utterly Immoral and Unnatural Perversions of the LGBT Movement

Have you ever tried to change an ornery Angus bull into a cow, or a male gorilla into a female gorilla? It is, as all veterinarians will loudly proclaim, impossible to do. Bulls and gorillas are both mammals, and so are human beings, or Homo sapiens, which causes the following logical reasoning to follow. It is impossible to biologically change mammals born male into females, and this includes human men and women. There are myriad physiological and medical differences between men and women; which make the two exclusive human genders totally different, and each unique. Regardless of whether one believes, as I do, that God almighty created man and woman in the Garden of Eden, or that evolution produced the human man and women through natural selection, the biological specificity of the male and female genders make transformation from one to the other impossible. That which is scientifically impossible cannot be made possible by the delusionary sophistry of politically minded men and women. For you can take a normal ordinary male child, a healthy boy, and dress that child in the garb of a female girl from the moment of birth through the teenage years, treat the boy exactly as you would a girl, and mentally persuade the child, over the years, that he is a girl. Yet, the boy remains a boy, and yes, this has tragically been futilely attempted in this country by thoroughly demented parents, and the end results of such sick aberrational endeavors are, and have always been, psychologically damaged and confused teenage boys going about believing that they are something they are not, girls. In essence, for someone to treat a healthy normal boy as a girl, and to cause him to believe that he is a girl, constitutes a horrible crime against nature, as evil as bestiality. Yet, today, in the 21st Century, there are sick aberrant people in the USA, supposedly a nation of laws, who believe that such an unnatural process is reasonably proper and should be allowed by law to occur.

Just recently a bit of provocative news was broadcast on a radio talk-show about a normal teenage girl in Texas who was encouraged and promoted by her parents to take testosterone hormone injections and anabolic steroids in order to "transform" her into a boy so that she could be on a boy's school wrestling team. Yes, that is correct! The parents, especially the father, encouraged their daughter to "become" a boy just to join a boy's wrestling team. The national mainstream media had broadcast that the teenage girl had independently made the decision herself to "transform" into a boy, but other information gleaned from concerned neighbors made it very clear that the parents, especially the father, had treated his daughter more like a boy than a girl over a long period of time. A lawsuit against the girl and her parents by the parents of boys on the wrestling team is currently being litigated in Texas.

The utterly offensive terminology for this attempted unnatural process of changing boys into girls, girls in boys, men into women, and women into men, transgenderism, is but an aberrant hiccup as an occurrence in the continuum of thousands of years of human history. Yet, though a hiccup, it comprises a foul scourge on the integrity of the human species that has, in the same fashion, followed the equally aberrant normalization of the psychopathologies of homosexuality and bisexuality in the USA. The perversions that are manifest in the nefarious parental efforts to create, encourage, and promote unnatural feelings and emotions of despair and inferiority in normal male and female children, who were not born to have the outward facial, and body, appearances of handsomely masculine boys and femininely beautiful girls, should be declared criminal in nature. This should, of course, be obvious to all reasonable and normal human beings, but sadly it isn't. For parents are ultimately responsible for how their children will feel about themselves as boys and girls; and how they will, either, grow and develop into confident, mature, and self-actualized adults, or confused maladjusted human beings with mature adult bodies.

Since around 1970, the electronic visual media (television, motion pictures, and the Internet) in the USA have been responsible for promoting homosexuality, bisexuality, and the transvestitism that has cancerously metastasized into the pernicious LGBT "transgenderism" that is being currently advertised as a cultural normality. I was, for a time, a sworn deputy sheriff for San Diego County, California under Sheriff John F. Duffy. During that time during the 1980s, I worked in the San Diego County jails and saw, first-hand, the ravaging criminal effects of promiscuous homosexuality and transvestitism on human beings. The psychologically aberrant political change in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-III) which, in the early 1980s, re-listed the psychopathology of homosexuality as a normal life-style was treated by the mainstream media and the motion picture industry in a celebratory fashion, and expanded the open solicitation of homosexuality (the only way homosexuals can increase their sordid population). The explicit open expression of unnatural lust between two men or two women, culminating in one of the men sucking the other man's penis or sodomizing him, or the two women sucking each other's vagina, became publicly accepted sexual rituals. Moreover, pornography, the lurid multi-billion dollar-plus adult magazine and film industry suddenly acquired a new profit-making motif and an aberrant, rabidly consuming, audience with its sickening LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) genre.

The most egregiously tragic result of this gross expansion of LGBT pornography was the rampant increase in pedophilia, or the exploitation of young children by homosexual and bisexual men and women. What is currently incredibly unnatural and contradictive in practice are adoption agencies and state agencies that will deny normal heterosexual couples the right to adopt infant children if they, for instance, believe that UFOs are eventually coming to take them, and their adopted children, away to a distant planet, but will allow two men in a homosexual relationship to adopt children knowing that both men suck each other's penises and engage in sodomy every night, and that it would be extremely probable that both men would enjoy the molestation of the infant children by sucking and fondling their genitalia. Do you see here the blatant contradiction and hypocrisy? To simply believe that a UFO is coming to take you away is utter dementia, totally unnatural, places children in danger of harm, and is a cause for denial of adoption; while promiscuous adult homosexual behavior and probable sexual molestation of infant children are believed to be totally natural practices! Believe it or not, as Ripley would say, there are vocal LGBT groups who advocate for laws permitting free sexual activity with young children. You'll probably never read about it the mainstream media, but the Public Advocate of the United States, Eugene Delgado, routinely posts such information on the Internet for the benefit of all American families concerned with the promotion and continuation of morality and natural law.

Currently, in the second decade of the 21st Century, cumulative crime statistics and reports published by the FBI and the research completed in numerous longitudinal and cross-sectional psychosexual research studies have adduced that over 95 percent of all convicted pedophiles are consistently, either, homosexual or bisexual. This revealing fact is a startling and blatant reality that is hardly publicized by the mainstream media because of its political incorrectness, even though it is the unvarnished truth. The unnatural practices of homosexuals and the unnatural lust that those practices produce is the basis for the utterly unnatural attraction to small children demonstrated by homosexuals and bisexuals. Also, the attempted gender or sex-changes of children, boys and girls under 18 years of age, from male to female or female to male, are usually accompanied directly by feelings of insecurity induced into these children by homosexual/bisexual adults or homosexual/bisexual peers that their sexual orientation should be other than what was assigned at birth. Relevant clinical studies have shown that children who are unconditionally loved and respected by their parents, regardless of their physical appearances, and who are not exposed to aberrant peer relationships, develop naturally and heterosexually with no homosexual feelings, or feelings of insecurity about their natural sex established by birth. Yet, deviant subcultures have always existed in culturally normal societies, which have served to undermine, over time, moral and natural traditions through political subterfuge.

Laws and rules that are imposed upon societies to recognize as natural the disgustingly unnatural usually result in severe indignation by majorities of the reasonable members of those societies. For instance, if a law was legislated to allow grown men, who consider in their minds that they are women, to walk into women's restrooms and relieve themselves, a great majority of women, who reasonably know that they are women, would be horrified to see such a display of unnatural behavior. Moreover, if a protective father of a small female child allowed the child to enter a women's restroom alone to relieve herself, and if the father saw a man, dressed as a woman, follow his daughter into the restroom, it would only be natural for the father to be concerned about harm coming to his child. Unnatural behavior invariably provokes natural indignant responses from reasonable people. Even if unnatural laws exist, allowing men, dressed as women, to use women's restrooms, and for other unnatural behavior to freely abound, there will certainly be continual natural opposition to those laws from reasonably minded people. As such, men and women who firmly believe in morality and natural law, and that those sacred principles should be protected from subversion by immoral people bent on turning the USA into a bestial nation, should let their voices be heard in concert as a clarion call for an eradication of the immoral element in the American society.

The mainstream media has promoted unnatural sexual practices by not allowing the national publication and dissemination of the cogent research, views, and wisdom of such renown men of science and medicine as Dr. John McHugh, former Chief of Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Over the years, Dr. McHugh has been steadfast in his adamant delineation of the impossibility and psychopathology of transgenderism, and has decried homosexuality and homosexual marriage as aberrant psychopathologies. His impeccable presentations that show these facts to be firm and unmovable are revealed in the websites provided below:

Monetizing and Marketing of The Word of God Is A Gross Act of Indiscipline

The word of God, as it is rightly so, issues from the creator of life, God. As such, no human being holds ownership to the good gems enshrined in the Holy writings. The copyright owner is exclusively the almighty God. Thus, taking credit in the form of monetary payments by imparting any kind of service from this spirit-directed writings is a gross act of indiscipline against the maker of all things, the almighty God Jehovah.

Many leaders of churches blatantly say that bearers of the good news must earn a living from it with the ultimate aim of duping their innocent followers and exploiting them for their material possessions. It is very distressing to hear and/or witness so-called men of God charging money for the services they render on behalf of their follower, Jesus Christ. For instance, some men of God impose heinous monetary charges on prayers, counseling, and fasting on behalf of their followers who run to them for comfort because they view them as representatives of the God of love. It is despicable to realize that some men of God have customized drinking water, soaps, and pomades that they sell to their followers or distressed persons who run to them for shelter at exorbitant prices. Thus, the poor son or daughter of God will not be able to receive the mercies and blessings of the merciful and loving God because of not having the monetary power to pay for these services. Should this be the case? Are these so-called men of God true followers of Jesus Christ or they are part of the false prophets prophesied to walk the earth?

Before sending his disciples to go out into the world to preach the kingdom good news, Jesus Christ emphatically instructed them not to take any money for the services they render to people via the Holy Spirit that God imparts to them. In the scriptural account of Matthew 10:8, Jesus Christ said that they received the Holy Spirit, which they used for healing and freeing distressed persons free of charge from God and as such, they ought to offer those sacrifices free of charge. Jesus Christ sets the classic example in this light. The scriptural account of the gospel lavishly illustrates the numerous preaching work, healing and relief services which were offered generously by Jesus Christ without a penny. In fact, Jesus Christ never wanted to impose the burden of his personal upkeep on his followers nor the recipients of the gospel. Owing to this, the scriptural account recorded in Mark 6:3 indicate that he engaged in the carpentry trade to fend for himself and his family. Following his perfect precepts, the first century Christians also did not monetize or market the word of God. The apostle Paul, despite the tiresome and the astronomical preaching activity he carried out worked as a tent maker because he did not want to oblige his personal financial yoke on the Christians in the various congregations as is stated in 1Thessalonians 2:9.

Indeed, true followers of Jesus Christ would not in any way monetize or market the word of God. They would not trade and make riches from the word of God. They will not see the service of God as a money-making venture, but rather as a selfless, sacrificial work offered out of genuine love for God and man. However, donations or contributions offered willingly from the heart from the followers of Jesus Christ can be accepted and utilized in the promotion of biblical literature and other resources that aids in spreading the word of God globally. This resonates with the scriptural account in 2 Corinthians 9:7 which contends that God loves cheerful givers and as such all donations offered for His service must not be under compulsion from any servant of God but must be offered genuinely from the heart.

Therefore, it will be wrong and an act of gross disrespect against the merciful God and His dear son Jesus Christ, who are epitomes of love for so-called men of God to monetize and market the word of God. Such men of God must repent and change their course of life to be sure of gaining God's approval and potential salvation. In truism, God's word must not be traded for money but must be offered free of charge with great passion and love for God and fellow man.

Why Christianity Is the Most Complete Religion

First we have to understand why we should believe that a God actually exists. You could say it's in the creation itself. It's illogical to assume that chance really created rationality, so since we were actually created with a desire for meaningfulness, which is a part of rationality, and a creator is always greater than his creation, our creator must be greater in personhood (a God) than we are. After all, we do have rationality. Another argument for God's existence is that we being imperfect as we all know, but continually striving for perfection, must have developed this idea of perfection from some place, and the most logical place that we developed this from seems to be from a higher power (a God, for instance). Also, can you imagine a planet spinning around the universe in perfect unison allowing human life to evolve as it has for as long as it has without completely breaking up with all its earthquakes and volcanoes taking place without a God being in control. And finally Parapsychologists, who have studied Near-Death experiences, have reported that these people have seen visions of an After-Life during their experiences, which suggests that someone must be in control of all of this.

Now let us see how the Major Religions, with the exception of Christianity, view their interpretation of what God is like and how to approach him. The Buddhist believe that God is really unknowable, so that we should only live in the present and become our own Gods as we understand Him through Meditation and Yoga. The Hindus believe that at one time our Immortal Souls were all Perfect like God, but we lost that Perfection for some reason so we had to come down to earth and try to get that back through Meditation, Yoga, or Reincarnation as a final Solution. Reincarnation is that when we die we enter another body so that we can improve a little bit each time. The problem here is that if this were true, the World should be getting better and better from generation to generation. Muslims believe in only one God as described in their Sacred Book called the Koran written by Mohammed, who is thought of as the Messenger from God. Its adherents have to follow certain regulations as proscribed in the Koran, but interpreted differently by various leaders in the Muslim Religion. Muslims don't believe in inherited Evil or Sin. They only believe that Evil or Sin is between man and God, and that if man asks God for forgiveness, He will forgive. And finally the Jewish adherents also believe in one God as described in their Sacred Book called the Bible, or within Christianity called the Old Testament, but written by a number of Religious Leaders some of whom were called Prophets or Messengers of God. And here they have to follow the God-given Commandments. At the end of time a Messiah will come and all will be saved. In the meantime all we have to do is to ask God to forgive us for our Sins or Evil Actions and He will do so.

Now how does Christianity compare with the above major religious groupings? The difference between Buddhism and Hinduism with Christianity is very distinctive. In Buddhism and Hinduism, it teaches you how you can save yourself to lead a better life, whereas Christianity teaches you that you can only be saved through Jesus Christ to lead a better life.

Between Muslims and Christians, one of the biggest differences is that Christians believe in Inherited Sin or Evil whereas Muslims don't. Because of this, Christians believe they need a redeemer and they found one in Jesus Christ. Now His story can be found in the Sacred Book of Christians called the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, where one can find a tremendous amount of Historical Authenticity. The Christian Bible says that Jesus Christ is the Son of God (Math 14:28-32, Luke 9:28-36 John 5:16-47, etc.). He is also our Savior in that He saved us from our sin by suffering and dying on the cross and being raised from the dead (Much Proof of the Resurrection is found in my Book "Who is Jesus Christ" published by Amazon). Actually He became Sin for us if we Believe in Him. This is the way we were Forgiven. He was God's sacrifice for us. It was like perfection saving imperfection. But as I said we actually have to believe in all of this so that we can then become wrapped up in our belief, or Jesus Christ, just like a Christmas package, so that when God looks at us, all that He can see is His Son (perfection), or Himself as if He were looking into a mirror. It is interesting to note here that the Koran was written by one Messenger of God whereby the Christian Bible was written by many Messengers of God who were quite reliable and consistent in their message.

And the Jewish belief comes from their Bible (The Old Testament in the Christian Bible) and included in it is the story of the Inherited Sin or Evil, but the Jewish seem to ignore it and their need for a Redeemer, because from a Jewish website they believe that the Messiah will come at the end of time and that all will be Saved and live on earth Forever. They don't believe in the prophecies found in the Jewish Bible about the coming of Jesus (2 Samuel 7:16, Isaiah 7:14, 9:6-7, & 35:4-6, Micah 5:2-5, Psalms 41:9, and Zechariah 12:10.

In John 1:1 it states that the Word was God, or in other words that Jesus was God, and in other places in Scripture it states the same. And the Holy Spirit is the third manifestation of God as mentioned in Scripture who is the one who directs us to do the righteous things that God wants us to do. So in a way God took a human form in the person of Jesus to intermingle with us for a while before dying on the cross and being resurrected to go back to His Heavenly Home taking our Sins with him. And the more you have Faith in believing all of this, the less Sinning you'll be doing.

25 Days Of Me And President Trump

I may not have been present in Washington D.C., or anywhere nearer to my President than FOX News that fortunately extends 4000 miles away, but in spirit I was with him since the first time he played with the idea of being a candidate in 2011. The very first thought was, finally someone who is not a politician!

We as a populace have been lied to so many times by politicians, that we have almost become inured to it, which I suspect is what they have always counted on. Once they're in power, what recourse do we, the public, have? We stand by powerless to correct the situation. It would be great if the powers of impeachment were made available to the public instead of political hacks. There would be far fewer of them running our country if that were the case.

It seems that a politician can't be any good if they tell the truth. It would be interesting to have a machine which could take out all the noncommittal, empty, meaningless words from their babble to see what's left. Chances are the older politicians would easily be separated from the younger ones, in terms of time in office, by the emptiness of their speech. These would most likely be seen as heroes by their constituents for never saying anything that would get them in hot water, or have any meaning.

So what happens when one comes along that says what they mean, and means what they say? Instant labeling as anything but reliable, truthful, honest, or genuine. President Donald J. Trump has handed out heads on a platter to the "opposition party," also know as the MSM, or main stream media.

The media has never been any paragon of virtue when it comes to truth in journalism, unbiased reporting, hate mongering, or just real, factual coverage of events. The various outlets all seem to have a tendency towards some axe to grind, or at the very least the effort to manipulate opinion. President Trump called them out early on in his campaign, and it seems all it did was increase the determination for them to do as much dirt as possible.

Countless articles, reports, have hit print and airwaves, with absolute trash! Comments, claims, even outright lies about events, and they dare to call President Trump a liar? Isn't that just like a liar, to try and throw suspicion off on another to deflect attention on themselves? You bet it is! The difference is most don't believe they can fight the press, but that would not be President Trump!

There have been feverish attempts to direct focus on General Flynn and his resignation, withdrawal of the candidate for Secretary of Labor, and the assumed defeat of the Executive Order for Immigration. Then there has been such a clamor about where is the repeal of Obamacare, tax reform, the Wall, and education reform to mention a few.

These lame, so called journalists and democratic hacks, who have delayed approval of Cabinet appointees, are the ones to blame for slowing down parts of the process, all the while trying to blame an ineffective Congress and House for the problem. What they can't deny are the multitude of orders in process such as that for the Coal miners, auto industry, tech industry, rollback of government regulations for business, setting in motion the building of the wall on Mexico's border, defunding sanctuary cities, deporting illegal immigrant criminals, defunding abortion internationally, creating orders to complete the Keystone and Dakota pipelines, solidifying relations with Great Britain, Australia, Mexico, Japan and Israel, and telling the media like it is.

No, President Trump hasn't done anything, just more in 25 days than any preceding president in our lifetime! Here is a link to a FOX News timeline that is fairly accurate that will catalogue the events. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/trump-100-days.html More importantly, President Trump has "done it his way!"

Nonpolitical, he doesn't speak politicalease, unafraid to say it as he sees it, ready to confront the press for their open attempts to discredit, taking the Democratic Senators to task for their cowardly actions and delaying tactics, and continuing to "tweet" to let the public know what's going on and his thoughts.

He is keeping his promises! Actions are speaking as loud as his words. Some voices are impatient as the wall will not be built in a day, and the new health care program will also take time, as the ACA has to be undone and that does not happen overnight. Tax Reform is right around the corner, and it promises to be a surprise, especially to the DOW and other markets that have been hitting record historical highs. Delays in getting Cabinet appointees in place created a slow down as well, thanks to the obstruction by cowardly Democratic Senators.

It comes as no surprise or secret, that President Trump has many adversaries determined to see him fail, not the least of which appears to be former president Obama. Other reports place George Soros http://humanevents.com/2011/04/02/top-10-reasons-george-soros-is-dangerous/, as one of the financial influences behind protests, anti-trump campaigns and more.

During those first 25 days, it has been full of events that have fed my hunger to write what I saw as wrong, and not in the best interests of our country. To point out what multitudes of others are thinking and not writing, or saying and not being heard, as MSM doesn't want to air anything that would be pro-Trump, as they clearly promote a double standard as it relates to not only the previous administration, but any conservative point of view.

So feel free to peruse and read my posts at www.awordmerchant.com in the "Me and the POTUS" or at "large" categories. The "Trump" train continues to chug forward, undaunted by anything that attempts to derail focus. All aboard!

Will MSM Get The Candy Or Stay In Bondage To The Lie?

In order to know the truth, the lie must be exposed. In order for the lie to be exposed, there must be the desire to get past the fear of the truth. Knowing the truth will set you free from the bondage of the lie.

Never in memory has this be clearer than in today's news. Perhaps going back to the McCarthy era and the persecution that took place at the whim of a government obsessed with the idea that communism was running rampart within the U.S. there may be a comparison. Attacks on all sides with little if any proof of accusations, sot of like what's going on now.

Even a former CIA agent that that is a confessed Democrat states the spooks are out of control, and the press just loves it! Even though being bias was never a problem for the main stream media, in order to be so there must be a position taken for or against a particular issue. So there must be a new noun, or perhaps a verb, to define what's happening today.

It's kinda like when I told my first lie about where I got the money to buy my hoard of candy. I didn't want to admit I hadn't paid for the candy, so I blamed it on my older sister because I had seen her take candy. I just hadn't seen her pay for it, but even at five years old I knew the difference.

That's sort of the way it is with the mainstream media today. They know the stuff they're writing is like taking that candy. It may contain an element of truth, just like I saw my sister taking candy. That was true. All that is pure fabrication, insinuation, half-truth, is the story that tries to avoid the truth, or the lie. There just isn't any middle ground. No grey area or half-truth. Unfortunately there seems to be that eternal quest looking for what doesn't exist except in a fiction novel. No more than my trying to escape that I stole candy and was willing to lie hoping I could avoid the truth. Didn't work. I had to return the candy and fess up. That would be like the media retracting the lie wouldn't it? What a concept.

Now there's a huge difference between "fake" news and "false" reports. Fake is purely a fabricated story meant to entertain for the most part, with no intent to be true at all. The primary goal of fake news is to attract readers to make advertisers happy and generate ad revenue for the creator. It works pretty well, as these sites can generate anywhere from $10-$30.000 monthly!

"False" news has as it's main objective to deceive, malign, discredit, belittle, misrepresent and damage a person or commercial concern. That's my definition so the dictionary may word it a little different. I think that's pretty accurate description.

What President Trump handed the White House Press Corp on a platter was the truth, bold and in their face. As Neil Cavuto of FOX News reported, what the media has lacked in their hate mongering is balance. It's all one sided, never mentioning unless in some derogatory terms the positive aspects of what he has accomplished in just a few short weeks. This, in spite of the obstructionist efforts that have slowed him down.

The President is to be commended, in spite of a few rough instances where things could have gone smoother had cabinet members been in place to plan things out. The Immigration Order was created with clear wording. I didn't have any trouble reading and understanding it. Only those determined to create obstruction made it awkward. That's not how it was presented by the media, any more than the incident with General Mike Flynn has been fair.

Even though the FBI has declared they find no criminal actions with Flynn, the media and the sorry Democrats keep kicking a dead horse, determined to get the legs to flinch or the tail to wag. Just like their salivating at the mouth when they reported a fake tweet, along with other inconsistencies about Flynn. They are so desperate to malign because it's all they can do. Like the dog furiously barking behind the fence that if threatened, would tuck tail and go hide. Cesar Milan needs to come and put a leash around their neck to get them to relax, so President Trump can show them who their leader is.

That's the truth that will set the Democrats, and a few of the GOP too, free. That the truth is their leader is President Donald J. Trump. He's going to make changes whether they like it or not, and take their candy away! That candy is very likely going to be votes in the mid-term elections, and that's going to taste like the most repugnant of flavors. They will have no one to blame but themselves, and a lot of "false" news. Like the sweets addict without their fix.

I'm gonna go find some amazingly decadent, caramel covered pecans, encased in the worlds most exquisite dark chocolate, that becomes liquid rivers as it melts in my mouth, while that caramel goo invades every recess around the tongue, sending wild signals to over-expectant taste buds.

Why do we have ornaments on a Christmas tree?

Is the reason decoration? Many trees combine ornaments given as remembrances of family members or memorable events.

Would you be surprised to discover that there is a purpose for the decorations, probably one that has been kept a secret from you?

On Christmas Eve, while most people are asleep and dreaming, each ornament diligently goes to work. It is the ornaments responsibility to fix the tree lights, tighten screws on the tree stand, and even guard the cookies and milk from pets. This annual event requires each decoration to be "off the hook."

The star on the top of your tree is different and not an ornament.

All the ornaments cooperatively work together to activate the star which is a location transmitter lighting each rooftop to be seen only by Santa.

This year the Thompson family has a problem. They just don't know that it exists.

During their annual Christmas Eve party, the family cat somehow toppled the star, falling into an empty gift bag which Aunt Connie brought to her home.

Once she discovers the star, she believes it is a gift to decorate one of her many trees.

What will happen to the Thompson children when Santa is missing their home? Without a location transmitter, how will their home be found?

How can their Christmas be saved?

How can the family's ornaments possibly save Christmas for the children?

Off the Hook is a wonderfully creative story with the illustrations perfectly matching the text into a logical and well-organized original Christmas story for children of all ages. Numerous themes surround this short book such as cooperation, friendship, prejudice, stereotypes, diligence and doing not what is easiest, but what is the right thing.

Surprisingly, each ornament is an independent character with an individual personality humanizing each and even revealing a little of every person's hidden prejudices and biases.

The colorful illustrations perfectly match the text entrancing readers from as young as 2 to 102 focusing on the individual ornaments and the children.

When not being a US Army veteran, an IT professional, husband, and father of three children, he enjoys hockey and using his imagination to create a beautifully original story.

This enchanting Christmas novel is available as an e-book or a paperback.

Off the Hook is a wonderful Christmas story that will endure the test of time becoming a new family traditional story to be shared with generations.

Wonderful new family tradition story

A Chemical Free Day - Is It Too Much to Ask?

The idea is to make an impact at the micro level so that it can have a collective, macro effect. So let us do our tiny bit to save and protect our world, thereby protecting ourselves. Let us begin by stopping the pollutants, which are washed out from homes on a regular basis.

If we take a close look at the ingredients of our personal and home care items I promise you would be completely shocked to find out about the chemicals we expose ourselves and our families to. these chemicals are then washed out through our drains into the oceans setting in motion the vicious cycle of pollution.

What you need to do:

On a Sunday, WAKE UP, and even before the sleep flees from your eyes, make a change with the toothpaste and brush used.

Tip #1 - Tackle the Teeth

Now think, is there a natural solution? Yes, it is the common salt and lemony lemon to the rescue. Take a small piece of lemon, dip it in salt and scrub your teeth sparkling white. Salt with its anti septic properties, gets rid of the bacteria along with tightening of the gums. Lemon adds the dash of white along with vitamin C.

For a little more pampering, you could scrub strawberries.

But what about mouth wash to attack those nasty germs at the back of our throats? Well add the same salt and lemon to a glass of warm water and gargle away to glory. This takes care of even minor inflammations. Now you regret ignoring granny's advice huh?

Ah ha! For a relaxing luxurious weekend bath or a shower.

Pause - check - bath foam or gel - chemicals again.

Shampoo - oh! More chemicals.

Face wash - even more chemicals.

But then don't worry. Let's really pamper ourselves. Let's make a paste from rice or chick pea flour + yogurt + turmeric and give ourselves an authentic herbal scrub.

Benefits - the flour naturally scrubs and takes away the dead skin. The yogurt not only softens the skin but armed with acidophil bacteria (good bacteria) takes care of the fungal infections common in humid weather. The turmeric as you know is famous for its medicinal whitening and anti bacterial properties.

An ideal replacement for shampoo would be a herb called Shikekai (Acacia Concinna) and soap nut (readily available in India). these are the wonder herbs which helped the Indian beauties manage their long dark tresses, without a single bad hair day.

I understand though ideal it is not the best solution for chemically treated, permed, straightened and colored hair. But then in that case my dears how about getting yourself a relaxing Indian head massage with a personalized aroma blend? Let it be an oily hair day. The scalp would be grateful after all those harsh chemicals.

Hey, hold on, I can hear you say, what about our hand wash? We need to wash our hands every now and then? Yes, the same simple lemon cut into piece, kept in a beautiful looking box on our wash basins and used for scrubbing hands whenever needed, will not only disinfect our hands but add a glow to them (please do not keep them for more than 6 hours).

These are just a few chemicals we have successfully eliminated from our personal care items. So now let's turn our focus to home care.

Let's begin with the kitchen. Oh please! How can one clean the greasy pots and pans and kitchen platform without our regular kitchen solutions?

Here's a relatively gentler and eco friendly household cleaner. Mixed together one teaspoon baking soda plus two teaspoons common salt plus half a lemon and watch the grease running for cover. Then we have to have sparkling floors free from dust mites and other germs. Mix half cup white vinegar + 2 -3 drops of Tea Tree essential oil in a bucketful of warm water. Now mop the floor and see how the fragrance of T3 will banish your nose blocks while sparkling and disinfecting the floors.

But what about the yucky toilet pots and wash basins? Well, our simple baking soda and vinegar can do wonders. Pour half cup baking soda into the toilet pot, then drizzle with vinegar, scrub, let it stay for 10-15 mins and flush. If there are difficult stains then borax can come to the rescue. This combination of baking soda, borax and vinegar can also treat choked drains.

What about the washing machine? Should we keep it idle? Ideally yes. Consider the savings of electricity. how about hand washing of clothes to burn a few calories? I can already hear you saying - "We prefer the gym".

OK then, here is the solution.

1/3 cup washing soda + 1 litre water + soap flakes instead of detergents + cup borax for additional cleaning power. Add this to the machine before adding the clothes. Stir and add the clothes.

Yes I know his is not entirely the natural solution, but just much eco friendlier than our usual cleaning agents. But this is all that I have found. If you have better suggestions, please forward it and then let's pass the word around to save the world.

Hey, have you realized the savings on our pockets that we may enjoy en route to saving the environment?

Ah ha! Now the environment is blessing us, the home is clean, money is saved. We have had some spa pampering. So how about burning some aroma oil in a burner, listening to some soft music and relaxing our tired nerves. Happy relaxation. See you later.

Not Too Embarrassed to Help

I watched a video on Facebook: No means No, a moving video about the things that happen around us that many of us keep quiet about. It's a challenging video.

At a party a guy pins a young girl to a couch while his friend records everything on his cell phone. She's clearly not aware of what is happening. Suddenly the guy looks straight up at the camera and says: "Thanks for keeping your mouth shut!"

The camera then moves to an office to a woman working at her screen. Her boss walks up to her and rubs her shoulders. He looks up and says to the audience: "Thanks for minding your own business."

Next come four young boys bunched up around a cell phone. They're looking at intimate photos. One looks straight into the camera and says: "Thanks for not telling my girlfriend."

In the last clip a girl turns away from her drink for a split second to greet a friend. A guy puts something into her drink and then also turns to the camera and says: "Thanks for not telling anyone."

It's as if all of them are talking to me.

How would I act if I see things that are not right? What do I do when injustices are committed, but even more - what do I do when I know people are taking the broad road? I wonder if there will be moments that will make me hang my head in shame if I get the chance to look at my life story on screen?

When it comes to spreading the Gospel, Paul is sorted in his way of doing things 20I don't expect to be embarrassed in the least. On the contrary, everything happening to me in this jail only serves to make Christ more accurately known, regardless of whether I live or die. He knows he is doing his best. He knows that he will not keep quiet, despite being thrown in jail, despite it costing his life.

The Facebook video continues. A text slowly appears: When you do nothing, you're helping him. When you do something, you help her.

All four girls appear one by one and say:

"Thanks for getting help," while two friends help her up off the couch.
"Thanks for telling HR," while someone talks to her boss.
"Thanks for stopping him," the teenage girl says walking away with her friends.
"Thanks for telling the bartender," the girl says, holding a glass of water in her hand.

The video ends with a challenge to the audience: Who will you help?

Whether it is addressing the things that are wrong in our world, being a mouthpiece for those who cannot speak, standing up for the weak, or physically living God's command to love - let's do what is expected of us.

Let our actions bear witness of God's love for the world. Let's act in a way that will make others say thank you, so that neither we nor others will be ashamed of what we do.

Through What Lens Are You Looking?

One of the things that really breaks my heart is when the children of the Lord argues with one another. Some do not hesitate to take out others and do it in the Name of the Lord. But the worst thing is that we easily get into that mode too. One so easily criticizes someone else's way of doing things, believing your way is the only way and the only truth. Just think back on what you recently said and thought about others.

Paul personally experienced his brothers' opposition too 15It's true that some here preach Christ because with me out of the way, they think they'll step right into the spotlight.

I say again we should not be too quick to point fingers here. We easily comment on other people's faith and way of doing things, as if we alone know the truth.

I've learnt some big lessons in this regard. I realised that I look at the Bible and faith through a specific lens. These lenses are like those of sunglasses. Sunglasses that prevent some rays from penetrating, while those that do penetrate fall on the retina of our eyes as a different colour. Therefore, the one wearing the sunglasses has a different perspective on reality. The world is actually not as green or brown as what the sunglasses make you believe.

I look at the Bible in the same way. My lenses were formed by my parents, the church in which I grew up, my friends, my family, where I now find myself in life, and much more. That is why you and I can look at the exact same piece of Scripture and see and understand something completely different.

We must realise that the Word of God are God's words. It is a dynamic Word that people could not figure out for the past 2 000 years. It is a Godly Word and we are only human.

We must create space for one another and not be so quick to lift a finger and criticise. No, we must act like the other group in Paul's life: 15But the others do it with the best heart in the world. One group is motivated by pure love, knowing that I am here defending the Message, wanting to help.

One group saw through their lens that Paul was a jailbird. The other group's lens showed the picture of a man of God who was not afraid to speak up and spread the Gospel. The first group broke things through what they said and did, and the Gospel suffered. The second group gave strength and support, so much so that we can still learn from Paul and his letters today.

Come on, let's learn this hard lesson from the people around Paul. Firstly, let's realise that we look at the Word and at life through a lens. Let's realise that we are looking at the same picture, but that our lens reflects a different image. Let's give one another space. Let's support one another, even though we are not living in the same place. Most of us have some part of the truth, and sometimes different parts of the same truth.

Let's show the world how different people with different backgrounds looking through different lenses can take hands and support one another.

Philippians 1:12-18

Reflection

How big are the differences?

What does the picture look like through your lens?

Do you leave sufficient space for others?

Our Father in heaven, please help me to see through my own lens. Please help me to leave more space for others. Please help us to embrace one another despite our differences. Amen

Called Up in Hard Times Too

Looking at this scripture again, I think back on an event from my days in the business world. One day I had to go to the CCMA. The union had summonsed me for some ridiculous matter. Therefore, I had to go and talk to total strangers about the things my own people did. I didn't like it and I was totally stressed out. It was the Sunday before the hearing and I was looking for something to hold onto. This is what I wrote that day:

I want to write down the first verses so that they can really stick in my head, because this is exactly what I need. Even though it's Sunday I'm so stressed about tomorrow, and yes, in a way the fun of doing business has been lost. That is why I really need Paul's motto today: 12I want to report to you, friends, that my imprisonment here has had the opposite of its intended effect. Instead of being squelched, the Message has actually prospered. 13All the soldiers here, and everyone else, too, found out that I'm in jail because of this Messiah. That piqued their curiosity, and now they've learned all about him. 14Not only that, but most of the followers of Jesus here have become far more sure of themselves in the faith than ever, speaking out fearlessly about God, about the Messiah.

Can I develop such a positive outlook on life?

We must realize that God never leaves us, but it is us who become deaf to his voice and then He has to use different tactics to communicate his word. Like me who has to go to the CCMA tomorrow to talk to the union. I have been and still am stressed out about the whole affair and honestly really don't want to do it. But I realize that these circumstances are not that different from Paul's. It's also like a trial and there are many who need to hear the gospel. I am the one who has to go and communicate it. On the one hand, therefore, it is a privilege that God wants to use me to spread the gospel right there in court.

But even though I know there is a kind of, if I may call it that, a supernatural purpose for my court visit tomorrow, it does not take away the stress. I'm still worried and I don't really have time for it either. But still in a way it makes my visit to court a bit easier. God has a plan. Maybe not my idea, but God can and will turn a negative into a positive. I must simply walk in there and see which of those guys need to hear about the living God.

Is something bothering you? Do you also not feel up to facing tomorrow with all its problems? Do you sometimes wish that tomorrow will never come? Are you dreaming of a time when all your problems have been solved and everybody have become good friends?

I have news for you: Your problems are not going to disappear into thin air. Maybe you have to change. Maybe you have to realize that God wants to use these things to bring the Gospel to other people. Therefore that may be why we have to get up in these difficult circumstances and allow the Holy Spirit to speak. We shouldn't be afraid to take God's message to strange places.

Tomorrow, I go to the CCMA court with one mission: Which of you need to hear and see the Gospel? Man, I'm brave!

I can't even remember exactly what the outcome at the CCMA was, but I know I came through it with no damage. I also know that God's Name was glorified by it and that He has turned the negative into a positive.

Maybe that is your challenge for whatever lies ahead. Listen to this song by Kari Jobe: You are for me    (https://youtu.be/r5tbZaBwJsc):

So faithful

So constant

So loving and so true

So powerful in all You do

You fill me

You see me

You know my every move

You love for me to sing to You

I know that You are for me

I know that You are for me

I know that You will never

Forsake me in my weakness

And I know that You have come now

Even if to write upon my heart

To remind me who You are

So patient

So gracious

So merciful and true

So wonderful in all You do

You fill me

You see me

You know my every move

You love for me to sing to You

Lord, I know that You are for me

I know that You are for me

I know that You will never

Forsake me in my weakness

And I know that You have come now

Even if to write upon my heart

To remind me that...

I know that You are for me

I know that You are for me

I know that You will never

Forsake me in my weakness

And I know that You have come now

Even if to write upon my heart

To remind me who You are

You remind me

I know that You are for me

I know that You are for me

I know that You will never

Forsake me in my weakness

And I know that You have come now

Even if to write upon my heart

To remind me who You are

Reflection

Where do you need God?

What is your crisis?

How can God use you despite your crisis?

Prayer

Father, I pray again saying that I really struggle to deal with a crisis in the right way. Most of the time I'm so sorry for myself that I'm too weak to get up and take the bull by the horns. Actually, I wish it would just disappear. That is why I need your help. Please help me to tackle my challenges head on and to make it easy for You to turn a negative into a positive. Amen

When the Going Gets Tough

Billy Ocean sang a song, When the going gets tough, the tough get going. I always wondered about the meaning, and checked it out in the dictionary: When conditions become difficult, strong people take action. When life gets difficult, some people get up and face it head on.

Yes, there are people who simply do not allow circumstances to get the better of them. Some people thrive under pressure. It energises them and they strive with everything in them to get through the crisis. I must confess that this is not something I mostly succeed in doing. Sometimes my circumstances prevail and I would rather go and hide in a corner somewhere. But I realise this is not the way out. The way out is to face the crisis.

Like Paul. Paul was imprisoned unjustly. He was most probably tied to a Roman soldier for 24 hours per day. He knew that he would not get a just hearing in the next two years. What a terrible crisis, but he doesn't hide in the corner, oh no, his tough gets going.

12I want to report to you, friends, that my imprisonment here has had the opposite of its intended effect. Instead of being squelched, the Message has actually prospered. 13All the soldiers here, and everyone else, too, found out that I'm in jail because of this Messiah. 14That piqued their curiosity, and now they've learned all about him. Not only that, but most of the followers of Jesus here have become far more sure of themselves in the faith than ever, speaking out fearlessly about God, about the Messiah.

As a result of the way that Paul dealt with matters, wonderful things happened. The gospel spread far and wide and started gaining serious momentum. People who would never have had the opportunity to get to know Christ suddenly met a Christian in real life.

But even fellow Christians were suddenly driven to stand up for their Christianity. Now they were no longer afraid to talk about Jesus, despite their lives being in danger. Before they were paralysed; now they were fired up, igniting the world for Jesus. They got up on stage and introduced the Saviour to the people with loudhailers.

But it didn't stop there. Paul's way of taking the crisis bull by the horns has a major impact. Thousands of years after his crisis millions of people still get advice, guidance, comfort, encouragement and much more from his letters from prison. What do you think we would've missed out on if Paul had not taken the crisis bull by the horns, but hid somewhere in a corner? I don't even want to think about it.

I know it is not easy and feels as if the whole world is falling apart around us, but we have to ask ourselves: How can we approach, experience and live the crisis to make it easier for God to turn a negative into a positive? I ask again: How can we approach, experience and live the crisis to make it easier for God to turn a negative into a positive?

We can do it. Like Paul, we can get the tough going, because the Holy Spirit is our helper. Look, it's a given. Sometime or another the papaw will hit the fan. It's part of life - accept it. The only question is whether, like Paul, you are tough enough to get the tough going?

Bible Reading Philippians 1:12-18 Reflection

How do you deal with crises in your life?

Do you see the bigger picture?

Do you make it easy for God so that others can also benefit?

Prayer

Father, it's really not easy for me to deal with crises in the right way. Most of the time I'm so sorry for myself that I don't even have the energy to get up and take the bull by the horns. I really wish it would simply go away. That is why I need your help. Please let your Spirit help me to take the crises by the horns and make it easy for You to turn a negative into a positive. Amen

A Cup of Coffee on Life

If you are alive, chances are good that life will throw you a curve ball or sometimes even more than that. And being a child of God does not necessarily mean that you will always catch those curve balls. On the contrary. So the question is not whether life will throw us curve balls, because that is a given. The question rather is what my reaction to the curve ball will be.

When a young woman went crying to her mother, dejectedly describing her life as if she wanted to give up, her mother took her by the hand and led her to the kitchen without another word. She filled three pots with water. In the first, she put some carrots; in the second, some eggs; and in the third, ground coffee beans.

She put all three on the stove and brought them to the boil... Twenty minutes later she switched off the plates. She took the carrots from the pot, then the eggs and lastly, the lovely aromatic coffee, and asked her daughter: "What do you see?"... "Carrots, eggs and coffee," she answered.

The mother asked her to feel the carrots... they were boiled soft. She peeled the egg and made the daughter feel the hard-boiled egg... Then she poured her a lovely aromatic cup of coffee.

"Each of these endured the same crisis - BOILING WATER", explained her mother. "But each responded differently. The carrot went into the water hard relentless, but came out soft and weak.

The egg was fragile and soft. The thin shell protected the liquid contents but the boiling water hardened the egg. The ground coffee beans reacted in a unique way. IN STEAD OF changing, it changed the BOILING WATER in which it was."

"Which one are you?" she asked her daughter. "When crises and pain come calling, how do you respond? Like the egg, carrot or coffee beans?" "Many people succumb to the pressure of crises and become powerless... Others apparently look the same on the outside and on the inside, but actually, inside they become hard as rock. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could respond like the coffee beans?" (Anonymous)

God does not only support us, He also shapes us in difficult times. It's not always nice to hear this and sometimes it sounds like cheap comfort, but God does use times of crisis to our benefit. He cuts off those things that do not fit in with his picture of us. Many times this hurts and is really not nice to experience.

Just take Paul as an example. He was in prison. In those times circumstances were quite different from today. No TV. No beds. No nothing, but still he had the wisdom to use correctly the circumstances in which he found himself correctly. He didn't jump up and down, scolding God, because God had turned away from him. He didn't throw his toys out of the cot. He saw through the crisis and used it to encourage others. Not only those to whom he addressed the letter, but millions of others after that as well.

12I want to report to you, friends, that my imprisonment here has had the opposite of its intended effect. Instead of being squelched, the Message has actually prospered.

Very carefully, without offering cheap comfort, I would like to invite you to make a cup of coffee and sit down in a quiet place. Then ask God for wisdom and insight so that you will know how to respond to the hurtful and difficult times in your life.

Reflection

What do your crises do to you?

Do you see God's picture?

How can God be glorified through this?

Prayer

Lord, let's be honest. It's not easy. Life is not always very easy. The crises in our lives break and hurt us and tire us out. Some totally pull us apart. And I don't always see your picture. I don't understand it. I need wisdom. Lots of wisdom. Show me your picture and help me to respond to my crises in a way that glorifies your Name. Amen

Calling in Reinforcements for the Right Road

How do you live right? Nowadays right and wrong are so interwoven that you hardly know which way to go. This struggle to know where the line between right and wrong is, is illustrated very well in this story:

One day a daughter wanted to do something her mother really did not approve of - not so much because it was a sin, but rather because it was not right in terms of her values and norms. In her stubbornness the daughter kept arguing about her own intentions as opposed to her mother's point of view. One evening they were sitting in front of the fireplace, most of the coals already burnt out.

"Please hand me one of those coals. The fire is long dead; it won't burn you," the mother said.

Indignantly the daughter answered: "It might not burn me, but my hands would be dirty from the ash and soot!"

"Exactly," said the mother, "What you want to do will probably not burn you, but will certainly dirty your being as well as your character."

It is difficult to live right today. We know we cannot do it on our own. We are simply not able to withstand the enemy's attacks. The grey boundary lines become hazy in the dark; a grey world out there where anything goes. That makes us uncertain about which way to go.

Therefore, it is so important to get reinforcements. Someone must help us to get on and keep to the right road. There is someone who can do that, said Paul: 10Live a lover's life, circumspect and exemplary, a life Jesus will be proud of: 11bountiful in fruits from the soul, making Jesus Christ attractive to all, getting everyone involved in the glory and praise of God.

For most of us this is not new information. We know that Jesus died for us on the cross. We know that He left his Spirit to help us walk the right road, but why don't we get it right? Why do we always go off in the wrong direction? Why do we so easily make the wrong decisions? People struggle to see the amazing God in us, because our actions blind them. Yes, the things we do actually push people from God. If that is how a child of God acts, I want nothing to do with his God...

Eish!

I know where the fault lies in most of our lives. I know why we make so many wrong choices and why we often lose the way. I understand why people aren't excited when they look at the way many Christians live. How can Jesus correct us and keep us on the road if we keep on heading in the wrong direction? How can the Spirit lead us if we are too far away for Him to take us by the hand?

Once again I realize what an enormous danger I pose when I'm on my own. An enormous danger to myself, but also to the people around me. More or less like a loose cannon with no stopping it.

No, it cannot go on like this. Let's go back to the place where we know we should be. Let's do the things we know are right. Let's give God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit their rightful place in our lives. Let's make a positive impact wherever we go. May others then see Jesus through us and become excited about Him!

Reflection

What does your life look like?

How close is Jesus?

Do others become excited because they see Jesus in you?

Prayer

Our Father, I confess my sin to You. I apologise for wandering so far away from You. I don't want to. I am guilty and beg You to clean me. I want to get closer to You and, therefore, I surrender my life to You again. May others see You in me. May they become excited about You and talk and sing about You. Amen

Born Free and Unregulated

All human beings are born free, every man and woman; even those in totalitarian states. Their fundamental human rights have simply been removed by a government with too-much authority. The people are still born with the natural right to life and liberty; for they are the rightful sole owners of themselves. As human beings we are born with the drive to attain not only the basic essentials, but to also improve our lives with a higher standard of living. This being inherently true, man in pure right, has the ability to obtain goods through purchase, production, sell and trade. In self ownership the entirety of the human race should always have these abilities. We are born with the freedom to live life however we see fit, so long as no one else is being forced or restricted(no aggression, no force.) Any central government, agency or entity thereof that restricts these fundamental freedoms in any way has become an aggressor against it's own people. This type of governance is tyrannical.

Any state to make a proclamation that it recognizes and upholds individual liberty can not contain and will never exhibit such authoritarianism, lest it becomes a state of contradiction and tyranny. In order to achieve liberty, to be truly free whilst having a central government, we must have the ability to live life freely, in our own way; so long as we are not stopping someone else from doing the same thing. There should be no government intervention in personal or social decisions, interactions or actions, so long as these decisions and actions do not impose force or coerce anyone. For state to regulate or to restrict the peaceful personal interactions of the individuals within said state is nothing more than a totalitarian breach of the proclaimed liberty that it claims to uphold.

In a true free society these same principles of liberty and non intervention of the state must also be applied economically or the state is still using force or coercion against it's people. No central government should interfere with a a man's business, so long as he is not violating anyone's liberty, stealing or using aggression against someone. This is his means of income, and through his means, consumer demand is met. For government to impede, makes the government an aggressor. Governmental regulations imposed on business usually has detrimental effects, not only upon the applicable industry, but the economy as a whole; with small business being the bearer of the heaviest regulatory burden. According to the office of information and regulatory affairs, there are around 3,400 federal regulations on business. with nearly 1/3 impacting small business directly. State forced licensing, fees, taxation, and location regulations are all non consensual aggressions that decreases a nations industrious value. Regulation that forces a business to add additional features, materials, and dictates procedural and manufacturing changes also directly forces an increase in manufacturing cost; which leads to an increase in product price. This decreases overall output and total gross production of that business and industry.

Regulatory statutes far too often limit a businesses ability to compete within their market, they stifle market expansion, discourage business innovation, and industrial crossover. According to a 2014 article from the wall street journal, titled "Behind the Productivity Plunge: Fewer Startups," Due to over regulation, The United States production growth rate was nearly half of its historical rate. It plummeted from its annual average rate of 2.5 percent, which was held from 1948 to a low 1.1 percent between 2011 to 2014. This drop off was huge and is just one of the thousands of regulatory imposed hardships forcefully placed upon businesses. People who have great, innovative entrepreneurial ideas are set up for failure because of these regulations. They are forcefully restricted by licensing, fees, and requirements that the majority of these great minds simply cannot meet; and their ideas never becomes anything more than an idea, no matter how revolutionary. During that span of production rate decimation the gross domestic product declined severely which lead to the annual hourly productivity rate to 3.5%. This was the worst productivity statistic seen in a 24 year span, from 1990 to 2014. According to scholars at George mason university; we have clear data that shows when regulation is doubled in an industry there is a 9 percent decrease in the formation of new businesses. This doesn't just hurt those that wish to become businessman, it also has a negative impact on job seekers.Through the same analysis we find that doubling regulation in an industry also leads to a 5 percent decrease in new hires. You can read the article at    https://www.mercatus.org/publication/regulating-away-competition-effect-regulation-entrepreneurship-and-employment / Numerous studies have provided strikingly similar data, making it reasonable to assert that it is the nature of regulation to restrict. Gegulatory increase slows down economic growth. Fiscal regulation in essence is nothing more than a thinly veiled tax on individuals. For example, if a government imposed a regulation on beverage companies to use a higher grade metal for their canned products, then cans become more expensive, just as if the government imposed a new tax on canned beverages.

We must have entrepreneurial spirit driven free markets, void of government regulation. This ensures competition, lower prices and more jobs. If I as an individual wish to start a business, I should be free to do so without paying a large portion of my profits in taxes. I should be able to operate without unnecessary licencing and production mandates. I should be free of regulations and fees that harm my business and that of my competitors. Americans, in order to remain free and maintain liberty we must have a system of pure capitalism without cronyism or outside market manipulation. Our American markets should be based upon competition and competent service. In a free-market economy the consumer truly directs the markets. Product pricing, demand, and supply levels will be a real reflection of consumer interest. Only when this is achieved can we see an accurate depiction of our economic strength, or lack thereof. In a true free-market economy, we would have to maintain a zero percent corporate tax rate. Businesses would not only stay in America but several companies would move to America; further stimulating the economy. A state does not need this (tax) money to survive and taking money that an individual or company has earned without their consent is illegal, for it is nothing more than thievery. Where true freedom abides, self efficiency and liberty is always the result. This is the only way true capitalism can benefit everyone, non-interventionist economics.

Yes, this also applies to wages. The compensation for an individual's Labor belongs solely to the individual that earned said compensation. The production, which is the end result of the labourers productivity is owned by the employer. Imagine that I am a worker in a factory and my productivity value is $10.00 an hour, and I am paid a wage of $8.00 an hour for my work. This is fair; as it allows my employer to profit +$2.00 an hour and relative to my productivity. If a state imposes regulations that force my employer to pay me $15.00 hourly, the wage may increase, but my hourly productivity does not. My employer is now -$5.00 on my hourly productivity rate. This wage is unjust as it is government forcing financial loss to the business owners. They are committing tyranny and have become aggressors against anyone who wishes to pursus the American dream. The wage is not a reflection of my actual production value, and falsely reports financial output value. Therefore such imposed laws, are an act of force, an aggression committed by the government. These types of regulations force unemployment to rise, productivity to be lowered and output to be muffled. Someone will lose their job, and will have a hard time finding another one, unless they can achieve a where their hourly productivity rate is higher than the imposed wage regulation. More people will fight for said job, less people will receive jobs with these high wages. People with lower productivity rates will be fired, the businesses will have no incentive to employ or retain said workers. Any machinery that can replace a worker, will, for it receives no compensation, requires no breaks and always meets output criteria.

If we had no regulations, wouldn't breweries put poison in beer and kill people? Of course not, not if they wanted to succeed at business. People would instead buy their beer from a different brewer, and the murderous company, would fail. This can happen under our current over-regulated economy. The difference now is that there would be no government bailouts or substation, ensuring that the breweries would be driven to produce quality products, for the consumer regulates the markets; with their purchasing power. Still not satisfied? What about the FDA? We need a government reulated agency like the FDA making sure we are getting safe products, right; well no. Many times the FDA stops life saving medicines from hitting the markets and they approve medicines which have devastating physical and mental effects. They promote addiction and ensure that no one has the authority to stop "Big pharma." If consumers want quality approved products, this becomes a market demand, without government interference private firms would then pop up, offering quality control speciality, with their stamp of approval being greater than that of the FDA. Businesses could afford these approval agencies because they too would be open to free market competition. To live in a country where the state claims to uphold liberty, these fundamental personal and economic freedoms must be allowed, and upheld. This is the cornerstone of freedom, voluntary cooperation, entrepreneurship, anarcho capitalism, and limited government. The only way to be truly free, is to have true personal and economic liberty.
